Quick start

Get Parcelry running locally, switch brands, and understand the core workflow in five minutes.

Start developing or evaluating Parcelry locally with Node 20+, run the dev server, and test the multi-brand workflow.

Prerequisites

Parcelry requires Node.js 20 or newer and npm. No global CLI tools, database engines, or external services are needed.

$ node -v
$ npm -v

Install dependencies

Install the dependencies from package.json using standard npm. Parcelry depends on Astro 5 and its official dependencies.

$ npm install

Start development server

Run the Astro dev server. By default, Astro starts the development server at localhost:4321.

$ npm run dev

Switching brands locally

To preview another brand during development, set the BRAND environment variable before starting the dev server.

$ BRAND=parcelry npm run dev

Verify your setup

Run the test suite and data validator to make sure everything passes in your local environment.

$ npm test
$ npm run validate
