Accessibility

Accessibility standards, ARIA roles, contrast guarantees, and keyboard navigation.

Built to satisfy WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA requirements with zero automated a11y violations.

Contrast guarantees

Every text/surface pair across both light and dark modes meets or exceeds WCAG 4.5:1 for body copy and 3:1 for large text and UI boundaries. Contrast is checked mathematically during build in tools/check.mjs section 3.

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive control is fully operable via keyboard: theme toggle, mobile menu, search inputs, sort headers, filter chips, accordion items, tabs (with roving tabindex), modal drawer (with focus trap), and form steppers.

Screen reader support

Dynamic updates use aria-live='polite' status regions. Dialogs use role='dialog' and aria-modal='true'. Tabs use role='tablist', role='tab', and role='tabpanel'.

Reduced motion

When prefers-reduced-motion: reduce is requested, all CSS transitions and animations are collapsed to 0.01ms and initial states render immediately without layout jumps.
