Customs
Customs brokerage
Entry preparation and release work, with the documents and the hold reason visible to the team that has to answer the customer.
Outcome
What you get
An entry that is prepared before the cargo arrives, and a hold that carries a reason and an owner instead of a red badge.
- Document checklist per commodity and country pair
- Hold reason and owner recorded on the shipment
- Release event on the same timeline as the transport legs
The process
Three steps, in order.
- 01
Collect the documents
The checklist is generated from the commodity and the country pair, so the missing page shows up before the vessel does.
- 02
Prepare the entry
Duties and codes are checked against the document set. Anything missing is a task with a name on it.
- 03
Release and record
The release is stamped on the shipment, and the hold, if there was one, keeps its reason in the history.
